AFTERLIGHT is a darkly humorous horror visual novel created for Ludum Dare 60, inspired by the theme Old Tech.

You play as a former assistant at Afterlight, a mysterious corporation researching digital immortality. What begins as an unexpected message quickly turns into something far more disturbing.

After waking up inside a locked cage in an unfamiliar basement, you must find a way out, investigate your surroundings, and meet some very unusual people.

And perhaps, against all reasonable judgment, fall in love.

This game was developed by a two-person student team for Ludum Dare 60, following the theme Old Tech.

We wanted to combine obsolete technology, psychological horror, strange romance, and a little absurd comedy into one experience.

This game contains disturbing imagery, kidnapping, confinement, body horror themes, violence, and unsettling situations.
